John Lotysz formed half of “The Low Down” radio show that aired on KNOX-AM in Grand Forks with the other half being his son Greg. John joined MacTalk to discuss his fight with prostate cancer and to give every man some advice relative to prostate health.
With the mass shooting in Las Vegas so recent in our memory, we’ll talk to John (an avid gun owner and hunter) about his thoughts on current discussions about new gun legislation.
Australian native and Minneapolis resident Justine Damond is dead, and so far there is no explanation as to how an innocent woman is dead at the hands of Twins Cities police officers which is disturbing. Mac has thoughts about the type of training that police officers who patrol our streets require in order to eliminate these kind of incidents.
Mac also gives his thoughts on the revenue situation in which the City of Grand Forks finds itself. Assuming that the infrastructure claims of the City of Grand Forks are valid (we’ll talk about that with Terry Bjerke this week!), IS THE ONLY ISSUE TO DISCUSS A CHOICE BETWEEN RAISING ADDITIONAL REVENUE THROUGH A SALES TAX OR VIA A COMBINATION OF PROPERTY TAX AND WATER RATE INCREASES?
The latest police killing in Minneapolis is disturbing to say the least… we wait for answers. We’ll talk about it.

If the citizens of Grand Forks don’t approve a sales tax increase, will the necessary taxes simply be levied via property taxes and enterprise funds? We’ll talk about it.
